Wondering who wrote all this stuff?

Hi. I’m L. Villegas and I founded Project Am I Right. I lead this little idealist project because I like to feel like I’m doing something vaguely productive with my optimistic ideas of an artistic revolution.

I may be the one who types up our FAQ, runs our social media and designs this site, but I couldn’t do any of it without the incredible collective of amazing, awesome, artist colleagues who help me think through all these things, ask the tough questions, and have challenging conversations.

I don’t have all the answers. I’m not perfect. I won’t tell you what to do even if you want me to. I’m first to admit my mistakes. Don’t believe me? Check this out. I’m here because we’ve all made tough choices whether we were aware of them or not. So let’s get aware, am I right?

If you care to know more about me: I’m a singer, actor, and generally kind of a loudmouth. I grew up in Los Angeles. I lived in Chicago for 10 years. I’m now based on the East Coast.  I’m a core member of FairWageOnStage, and elected Eastern Chorus Councillor for the national membership of Actors’ Equity Association.

I like talking about the tough stuff that I think can help people. I like talking about stuff other people seem to be nervous to talk about. You can talk to me. I’ll talk back. But not in the sassy, mean sense. I won’t even talk back in the sassy, mean sense if you want to talk to me and tell me that my whole idea is absurd and call me a stupid reverse racist. Plenty of people do. But even then, I’ll talk to you nicely. It’s just what I do.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ll take the time to explore, read, reflect, and join the conversation.
